Amala Dianor is a Senegalese choreographer who looks to bring together in a same choreographic field, areas that are theoretically far from one another.
Created in reaction to a world that seemed each day to be gradually dragged into a tragic and infernal spiral, his new creation, Quelque part au milieu de l’infini, bases itself precisely on the encounter between three dancers with different yet converging careers: Amala Dianor himself, Souleyman Ladji Koné, a Burkinabe dancer using hip-hop to move towards other styles, and Pansun Kim, an Algerian dancer/choreographer who is very active in the hip-hop scene. Confronting and combining their practices, they base themselves on a wide and lively choreographic language to project themselves (and us) elsewhere, somewhere in the middle of infinity. A radically galvanising experience.
