A vibrant singer-songwriter at the confluence of Africa and the West, Rokia Traoré is the inspiration behind La Nuit sera calme [Night will be calm], the new creation by director Moïse Touré who broaches on the notion of hospitality in the illuminating wake of Jacques Derrida. Held against her will in Mali, she has chosen Dassoum Fané, a Malian singer with whom she shares a strong artistic relationship, to replace her on stage.
